Warriors star Steph Curry was featured in another video for My Brother’s Keeper, which was started by former president Barack Obama in 2014. It’s now officially known as MBK Alliance and is still “encouraging mentorship, reducing youth violence, and improving life outcomes for boys and young men of color.”
Chance the Rapper and Obama are also included.
Here’s the message read in the video:
“We are the ones to inspire our generation, to rise up, take action and stand for the idea of opportunity of everyone. Not just for the sake of young men like me, but for the sake of America’s future.
“We are the ones to not give excuses, to not wait for permission to challenge biases, we just do. We are the ones to act, to bring our unique gifts and talent, to make sure America lives up to its grand ideals for our children and our neighbor’s children because our futures are all tied up together.”
Then, Curry says, “We are the ones,” while Chance and others, including Obama say, “I am my brother’s keeper.”
The other My Brother’s Keeper video Curry appeared in was a skit that had him and Obama doing various things, such as learning how to shoot a basketball and erupting a volcano.
