John Daly’s longevity has been a joy to behind throughout his career. Despite never boasting the healthiest lifestyle – to say the least – Daly has maintained a more than 30 year professional golf career. He won his first major in 1991, and at 51, is still a fixture on the Champions Tour.
But on Sunday, the much-loved golfer suffered a worrying injury scare.
Golf Channelreports that Daly had been struggling with a knee injury heading into the Champions Tour’s PowerShares QQQ Championship, but after a steep walk on the course’s ninth hole, he hit the ground.
He withdrew from the tournament, and afterwards, he spoke to his fans about it on Twitter.
