While uncertainty looms over the future of LIV Golf in light of the announcement of a partnership among the PGA Tour DP World Tour Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, to create a global golf entity, a team continues its normal business.
The first sponsor of Majesticks GC is OKX, a cryptocurrency exchange. This was announced on Wednesday morning. The Majesticks have three captains: Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood, Henrik Stenson and Laurie Canter. Sam Horsfield, Henrik Stenson and Laurie Canter are the other members of the team. The OKX logo is featured on the team uniforms.
Poulter said, “Having served as an OKX ambassador, I am aware that the company is passionate, has technological expertise, and uses creative thinking in everything they do.” “We have the same ambitions, not just to win but also to challenge the status-quo.”
OKX has partnered with McLaren Formula 1 Team and English Premier League giants Manchester City in the past. OKX isn’t available in the United States for regulatory and compliance purposes. The press release also included a long disclaimer about the risks associated with trading digital assets.
The Majesticks have the most progress in terms of team development, compared to other teams in the league. LIV Golf returns to action on June 30 – July 2 at Real Club Valderrama, Spain.
