Cabot, the Canadian-based golf resort operator, continues its global expansion with the acquisition of Golf Du Médoc Resort in Bordeaux, France. This move marks Cabot’s entry into the French market, adding to its existing properties in Scotland, the Caribbean, the U.S., and soon-to-be western Canada. CEO Ben Cowan-Dewar is excited to announce this strategic expansion, which includes the rebranding of the two golf courses at Golf Du Médoc Resort under the name Cabot Bordeaux.
Cabot’s Familiar Designers
The two golf courses at Golf Du Médoc Resort were designed by renowned architects Bill Coore and Rod Whitman. These names are no strangers to Cowan-Dewar, as he previously collaborated with Whitman and the team of Coore and Ben Crenshaw to create the acclaimed 36 holes at Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia. Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs, the courses at Cabot Cape Breton, have garnered international recognition and accolades, solidifying Cabot’s reputation for excellence in the golfing world.
