Monday saw the final open qualifier for the 2022 PGA TOUR Regular Season. There were 73 players competing for four spots at this week’s Wyndham Championship. Blake McShea and Mickey DeMorat matched scores at Bermuda Run CC East of 6-under 65 to earn tee times at the venerable Sedgefield CC, Greensboro, North Carolina. Yannik Paul, Rick Lamb and Ryan Elmore were selected via a playoff at 5-under-66. Erik Flores was the odd man out and Ryan Elmore was also in the bracket. Paul and Lamb are currently on the bubble to get Korn Ferry Tour Finals entry by accumulating enough FedExCup points from non-members to equal or exceed No. 200 on the FedExCup Playoffs List and Eligibility points List. Each week begins with 55 points. This would make them No. The week begins with 200 points. Chris Naegel also had 55 points but missed the playoff after a courageous rally came just short. Naegel started with a double-bogey Monday, but rallied to finish at 4-under 67. In the five previous weeks, he had qualified for four TOUR events.
