A Delaware County custom-built home that boasts more than 12,000 sq. ft., a golf course private and an 1830s party barn has been listed at nearly $8 million.
Paul Craver Housewright designed and constructed the home in River Rock Farms, a private development, from 2012 to 2014.
Amy Conley of Cutler Real Estate, who is listing the home for $7.9m, said that it was “one of the finest homes” in central Ohio. There’s a lot of attention to detail in this home. It’s beautiful.
The details include black walnut flooring, custom molding on all levels of the house, 10- or 12-foot-high ceilings; an elevator; a study with wood panels modeled after Augusta National Golf Club and geothermal heat.
Conley said, “The attention paid to detail is incredible throughout the entire house.” Even the storage rooms in the third-floor attic have black walnut flooring.
This home has six bedrooms, seven and a half baths on three floors. The lower level is fully finished and has a fourth floor with a bar, an exercise room, billiards, massage, family room, home theater, and a billiards table.
Visitors will also find a private putting-green and a tee-box.
A rebuilt 1830s barn is located next to the house. It was originally at the junction of Olentangy and Home roads, in southern Delaware County. Barn enthusiast Dan Troth demolished the barn after it was threatened to be destroyed for the Trails End subdivision.
Troth built the 2,184 square foot barn adjacent to the River Rock house, which can hold 10 cars. The barn is built on top of an entire lower level, complete with a vehicle access ramp.
The 9-acre property includes a golf course and barn, as well as a pond and irrigation system, and mature trees.
