Scottie Scheffler will need a larger trophy case if this continues.
Scheffler won his sixth PGA Tour title in the past 13 months, defending his title at the WM Phoenix Open. He also won the 2023 Players Championship on Saturday. The 26-year old shot a 3-under-69 round at TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach in Florida. This was largely due to five consecutive birdies that saw him finish at 17 under for this tournament.
Scheffler started his birdie spree by chipping in from the green of the par-3 8 hole. He then added four more before cooling down with his second bogey on No. After a misguided drive, Scheffler scored 14. Scheffler will be back at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking with a few pars down the stretch.

Tyrrell Hatton smiled for the first time on Sunday. To climb to solo second at 12 under, the normally angry Englishman shot a 7 under 65. Tom Hoge (70), and Viktor Hovland (68), were T-3 at 10. under.
