LIV Golf’s second-day roster reveals saw three new teams and two teams returning all four of last year’s champions.
Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs GC remains unchanged, with Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz filling in the roster. Eugenio Chacarra also continues to play. Similar with Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC featuring Paul Casey III, Charles Howell III, and Anirban lahiri.
Bernd Weisberger (formerly on Phil Mickelson’s HyFlyers GC) replaces Laurie Canter, on Martin Kaymer’s Cleeks GC with Graeme McDowell & Richard Bland returning to season 2.
Cam Smith and his Ripper GC, which he has renamed, will be returning Marc Leishman & Matt Jones. Jediah Morgan will replace Wade Ormsby in order to disintegrate the all-Australian side.
The Wednesday team rosters were revealed for Joaquin Niemann’s Torque GC. Brooks Koepka’s Smash GC, 4 Aces GC, and Majesticks GC. The HyFlyers GC, Iron Heads GC(Kevin Na), RangeGoats GC (“Bubba Watson”) and Stinger GC will all be made public on Friday.
Broadcast plans
The league announced earlier this week its TV plans, following a deal with the CW Network last months. In 2022, LIV will be available across all U.S. markets via CW affiliates and stations owned by Nexstar. From 1-6 p.m., second- and third-round coverage will be available on Saturday and Sunday. ET for all 14 events. The CW app will be the only way to access Friday’s opening rounds. Live coverage of LIV’s action in Australia, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia will be available to fans via the app.
LIV Golf League’s 14th season will start next week at El Camaleon Golf Course in Mayakoba on the Riviera Maya. It will be open Feb. 24-26.
