SCOTTSDALE (Ariz.) — Saturday morning, it was a birdie frenzy at Grayhawk Golf Club. Teams who didn’t make any birdies were left behind.
The second round 2023 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship began Saturday under clear skies and with virtually no wind. Scoring conditions were perfect. Stanford, South Carolina, and Texas all took advantage. The morning score average was 72.39; this is more than two shots less than the Friday average.
Stanford’s round set a record for the lowest round ever in NCAA championship history. It’s not bad for the NCAA champions and top-seeded squad.
The Cardinal is not in the lead with 36 holes left, but the No. 2 seeded team (and the No. The Golfweek/Sagarin rankings have the Cardinal as No.
