At just 26 years old, Cameron Young has already achieved more in the world of golf than many players do in their entire careers.
Early Success and Achievements
After a successful collegiate career at Wake Forest, Young made the leap to professional golf. In 2021, he quickly made a name for himself on the Korn Ferry Tour by securing two victories. His talent and hard work paid off when he was awarded the PGA Tour’s Rookie of the Year for the 2021-22 season. During his first full season on the PGA Tour, Young made the cut in 18 out of 25 events and consistently placed in the top 10, with seven impressive finishes. He also showcased his skills in major championships, finishing in the top 10 in three out of the four majors, including notable performances in the PGA Championship and the Open Championship in 2022.
The Quest for a First Victory
Despite his early accomplishments, Cameron Young is still chasing his first victory on the Tour. Surprisingly, he has come close to winning on multiple occasions, finishing as the runner-up in an impressive seven out of his 60 starts. Let’s take a closer look at Young’s near misses and his journey towards that elusive first win.
