The Valspar Championship at Innisbrook’s Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Florida, has seen the conclusion of its first two days of play. While some big-name PGA Tour stars are heading home early, there are also standout performers at the top of the leaderboard.
Leaders at 6 Under
Currently, five players are tied for the lead at 6 under par. Among them are Kevin Streelman, Chandler Phillips, Stewart Cink, Brendon Todd, and Mackenzie Hughes. Following closely behind, there are nine players, including Justin Thomas, tied for sixth place at 5 under par, just one stroke back.
Jordan Spieth Misses the Cut
Notably, Jordan Spieth, a prominent name in the golfing world, missed the cut at the Valspar Championship. This marks his second consecutive weekend off, as he also missed the cut at the Players Championship last week.
Predicted Cutline
While the second round was halted due to darkness, Data Golf projects a 100 percent likelihood that the cutline will settle at even par. This means a number of players will not advance to the weekend rounds.
Notable Departures
As the tournament progresses, here are 10 notable stars who will be leaving the Valspar Championship after Friday’s play concludes.
