ALBANY (Bahamas) – Tournament host Tiger Woods announced the 2022 Hero World Challenge field. The event will be held in Albany, Bahamas from November 28 to December 4. Viktor Hovland, the defending champion, is part of the 2022 Hero World Challenge field. He will be joined by seven major winners who have won a total 11 major championships. 16 PGA TOUR winners have committed to Albany, having won a total 87 events. Five players will be making their tournament debuts in the field. Will Zalatoris and Cameron Young, Sungjae im, Max Homa, Tom Kim, and Sungjaeim will all be playing at Albany for their first time. Only Jon Rahm (2018), Hovland (2021), have won the tournament in their first appearances since they moved to Albany in 2015. Three tournament exemptions are expected to be announced at a later time. 2022 HERO WORLDCHALLENGE FIELD (Official World Golf Ranking as at 8/28/22), Country Tournament Rounds will be held from Thursday, December 1 through Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Albany. This year, the event returns to The Bahamas for its seventh consecutive year. NBC will provide live television coverage during the final round and all four rounds of the 2022 Hero World Challenge.
