A New Journey for Tyrrell Hatton
Tyrrell Hatton, one of the 80 golfers participating in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week, is reportedly making a significant career move. According to a report by James Corrigan in the Telegraph, Hatton has left the PGA Tour and signed with LIV Golf for a whopping $63 million.
A Debut with LIV Golf
It is believed that Hatton will make his debut with LIV Golf this week in the season opener in Mexico, as a member of Jon Rahm’s team. The event will kick off in Mayakoba on Friday. This move comes as a surprise, as Hatton had just committed to the WM Phoenix Open five days ago.
Skipping TPC Scottsdale
If the reports are accurate, Hatton will not be returning to TPC Scottsdale for the WM Phoenix Open. Instead, he will join LIV Golf in Las Vegas over Super Bowl weekend. This decision marks a significant shift in Hatton’s schedule.
A Successful Partnership
Hatton and Rahm have previously teamed up at the 2023 Ryder Cup, where they showcased their skills and teamwork. The duo secured two points for their team, defeating Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns in the Friday morning foursomes and Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele in the Saturday morning foursomes.
Rising Rankings
With his current ranking of No. 16 in the Official World Golf Ranking, Hatton is set to become the second-highest-ranked golfer in LIV Golf, just behind Rahm who holds the No. 3 spot.
A New Chapter for Hatton
Tyrrell Hatton, who turned pro in 2011, has had a successful career on the PGA Tour, earning close to $22 million in on-course earnings. However, his move to LIV Golf signifies a new chapter in his professional journey.
As Hatton prepares to embark on this exciting new venture, golf enthusiasts around the world will be eagerly watching to see how he performs in his debut with LIV Golf and what the future holds for this talented golfer.
