PACIFIC PALISADES (Calif.) – The PGA Tour’s designated events attract elite fields with purses of $20 million. Although some of the most prominent names in the game, such as Jon Rahm (who made his Tour-best 24 straight cuts), and Max Homa, are at the Genesis Invitational this week, not everyone brought their A-game to Tinseltown.
On Friday, some big names were sent packing. This is the beauty of invitationals that have cuts. However, you must still play at a high level to avoid being on the wrong side. Tiger Woods had to wait until Saturday morning to make his Riviera Country Club weekend plans. The cut was made at 1-over-142, and there are still 68 players who have a chance to lift the trophy on Sunday.
Here are some big names that weren’t so fortunate.
