Max and Lacey Homa welcomed their son Cam Andrew Sunday. Homa posted Monday’s announcement on Twitter and Instagram. Homa reported Cam is happy, peaceful, and happy. Lacey had complications during the birth, Homa stated, and required multiple surgeries and time in ICU. Her husband and her newborn son were reunited when she was released from the ICU on Monday. Homa posted on Instagram, “My wife’s a freaking superhero.” “I’ve never been more proud or impressed.” They were married in November 2019. They also have a dog named Scotty. Homa often credits Lacey with giving him a lot of perspective about the ups and downs in professional golf. He has lost twice his PGA TOUR card, but has rebounded. He is now a five time winner on the TOUR. Homa and Lacey had a wonderful week together at the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow club, where Homa compiled a 4-0 record during the U.S. Team’s 17.5-12.5 win over the International Team. Homa stated in 2021 that her wife and caddie “just helped me focus on what’s good.” “If I want to work as hard on the range chipping green and putting green, then I need to put that time in on me,” Lacey shares tips before rounds. Sometimes it’s lighthearted and fun. Sometimes it’s more serious. Lacey advised Homa to be patient and to forgive quickly before the final round at the 2021 Genesis Invitational. Homa missed a putt on the 72nd hole, which earned him the win. He regrouped with Lacey in a quick phone conversation before facing Tony Finau in the playoff. “I forgot about ‘forgive fast,’ so I called Lacey and said, “I choked, babe.” Homa says, ‘I screwed up,'” Homa in 2021 on “Get a Grip With Max Homa And Shane Bacon.” She then goes, ‘Forgive fast. It was strange. This one resonated because of all the stupid stuff we have discussed before rounds. I was like “Alright.” And I was like, “Alright.” The Homas now embark on a journey of parenthood, fully prepared to share the same perspective with their son. Homa stated in September that “people have done an incredible job out there when they had children, and I will pick their brain to see what they did for continuing playing great,”. “The beginning of November is exciting for me because I believe my life will change. I’ll be less annoyed by bad shots on the golf course and more grateful for all that is happening in my life.”
