The Alfred Dunhill Links is a top event on the DP World Tour schedule. The three courses that the players will be playing on the first three days are the Old Course (Carnoustie), Kingsbarns, and Kingsbarns. After this round, the final round will be played at St. Andrews.
The conditions for Thursday were designed to allow low scores. After 18 holes, the leader in the first round was 11 under.
Friday was, however, a totally different story.
Day two was a miserable day with rain, wind, and cold temperatures.
Matt Fitzpatrick and Billy Horschel shot 1 under. Richard Mansell is second thanks to Friday’s heroic 4-under.
To be honest, I didn’t find playing golf enjoyable, no matter what the course was.
