SCOTTSDALE (Arizona) — The grounds crews at PGA Tour events often go about their daily business in complete darkness. Changes of hole locations between rounds are made in darkness with little to no fanfare.
Due to the first-round frost delay, and subsequent delay in play the second round 2023 WM Phoenix Open was pushed into Saturday.
Finally, the cut was made around noon. This meant that the entire process took place in full view by all the fans who loved it so much.
The ground crew member who answered the call enjoyed the moment and bowed to the crowd after he was done.
