Welcome to Golfweek’s Best latest course ranking, unveiling the Top 100 International Courses.
Unveiling a Comprehensive Ranking
Golfweek’s Best has previously assessed both classic and modern international courses. However, 2024 signifies the first year where courses of all ages have been amalgamated to form a comprehensive ranking of layouts beyond the borders of the U.S.
Rating Process
Our team of course-ratings panel members meticulously evaluates courses based on 10 criteria and assigns individual ratings. These ratings are then averaged to generate an overall rating for each course, which is subsequently used for ranking purposes against other courses in the respective region.
Focus on Golf Courses
This exclusive list shines the spotlight solely on golf courses themselves, excluding resorts or other club amenities. Each course is accompanied by its average rating on a scale of 1 to 10, location details, architect(s), and the year of establishment.
Qualification Criteria
To be considered, courses must meet a minimum threshold of votes. It may take several years for a course to accumulate enough votes to qualify. Some new layouts such as South Cape in South Korea, Ellerston in Australia, and Cabot Saint Lucia’s Point Hardy did not make the 2024 list due to delayed openings or insufficient ratings from raters.
Enjoy the Top 100 International Courses
Despite the challenges, we present to you our inaugural compilation of the Top 100 International Courses. We trust you will relish exploring these exceptional golfing destinations.
