The Irish are a lucky bunch. Seamus Power won the Butterfield Bermuda Championship by one stroke. He was 19-under 265 and finished the final six holes without dropping a par. He has 500 FedExCup points and $1.17million in bank accounts. RELATED: Complete FedExCup standings. The 26-year old rookie Ben Griffin was sharing the lead at Port Royal Golf Club, Southampton. Griffin was making his eighth career PGA TOUR appearance. Griffin scored 6-over on his next five holes, including birdies at 10, 11 and 11. He then finished with two pars to settle for a T3 in three and two strokes behind the champion. This is Power’s second career PGA TOUR title (2021 Barbasol Championship). Power was tied for third in odds of winning at BetMGM (+2200), with Mark Hubbard who missed the cut. Thomas Detry (+2000), and Denny McCarthy (+1600), who were heavily favored, finished as T6 and T2 respectively in the tournament. Detry’s consolations included $708,500.00 in cash and 300 FedExCup point. Griffin, Patrick Rodgers (+2800 win) and Kevin Yu (+9000), each received $344,500.00, 145 FedExCup Points, and split third place.
